As it is said the “VUCA world”, we live in the world where is full of uncertainty. Then, Warpspace set our common compass in order to survive.
Let us share our Polaris.

First of all, will explain the reason why we worked on this.
We had kind of value in common for some time, but was something vague and not clarified. So in order to articulate the common value and share internally and externally, we set 2 days meeting.

At the meeting, we separated into 5 sessions shown below.
1. Share the experiences and ideas
Every single person shared the memorable experiences and abstract them

2. Find some keywords and common elements
Had a discussion to find some keywords in common from each experiences

3. Grouping and refining those elements
Made a group based on the session 2

4. Integrate those elements and into some sentences
Put them together and made sentences based on session 3

5. Final adjustment
Adjust and finalize as concepts.

Through this process, we set 9 concepts as our compass. Those are shared values for us to go back when we’re in trouble and they lead us at any situation, make a decision, at the meeting, recruiting, whatever.

01. Leap

Our “raison d’être” is to create a world beyond the future people can ever imagine. Make decisions with leaping and unprecedented ways of thinking.

02. Goal Oriented

We always focus on realizing of our Vision. Do not work for means or time and do not fear failure.
Pursue the goals in a lean and smart fashion.

03. Decide with fact

Everyone is equal under the “Fact”. Throw away any speculation and common sense, doubt even your knowledge and experience, and always make a rational decision through a discussion with a primary source.

04. Chase one chance

If it cannot be proved impossible, it is possible. If it is possible, never stop in midway, keep on chasing, even the slightest of possibilities; “one chance”.

05. Resilient spirit

We sail rough seas full of uncertainty. We may face catastrophic changes or tough situations but there is no crisis that cannot be overcome . Adapt to any cases smartly, or rather, enjoy the chaos.

06. Respect your crew

Think of diversity as being normal and refuse homogenization. A team based on respect and mutual understanding is strong, flexible and precious.

07. Love family

You cannot fight without your family. Prioritize the time you spend with them and their health. They are also our fellow members certainly.

08. Adventure

Fine work comes from adventurous spirit and playfulness. Take your holidays proactively for your adventure. Diving into a different environment always gives you a brand new inspiration.

09. Be attractive

Empathy, hope and support from people are our sources of energy . Aim to be an attractive team not only for our stakeholders, but also for the local communities in our area of operation and the whole society.

We say exciting, “Waku-Waku” in Japanese. We believe that feeling is everything in any situation. Some Japanese words are now spread over the world, some of them are negative (e.g. karoshi). But, we’re willing to spread this word which symbolizes Japanese future.
