Tsukuba Science-City, The Center of Space Development in Japan
We are the start-up company spin-out from project of University of Tsukuba, located in Tsukuba Science-City. It is called the “Center of Space Development” in Japan.
Unique Point of Tsukuba
The official Web site says that 150 Research & Educational Institutes
accumulate in Tsukuba, not only public sectors but private, for example, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency(JAXA), Tsukuba University.
In addition, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, High Energy Accelerator Research Organization, National Institute for Environmental Studies, Geographical Survey Institute, are also in our City.
Moreover, nearly 20,000 researchers work in Tsukuba. This is why people call “Tsukuba Science City”. It’s not just nickname, but officially Specified by Government.
About JAXA
JAXA is assigned as Institute to lead the Governmental Space Development by Technology same as NASA and ESA. So that JAXA operates the basic study, development and utilize the knowledge.
JAXA’s policy is, “Explore to Realize”, meaning “Realize the Safety and Wealthy Society”. H-Ⅱ B rocket project, launched May 2020 is part of it.
JAXA owns the “Tsukuba Space Center” in Tsukuba city where we have the base.
In the Center, people work on developing the satellites and operation, analyze the observation data, control Kibo, which is the Japanese Experiment Module in ISS, training of astronauts, and so forth.
There’re some huge experiment facilities in the center, such as space chamber which is 13m long, Vibration testing machines, equipment for radio wave test.
Furthermore, they have some facilities to reproduce the space environment to get as possible as useful data.
And of course, Tsukuba University works as the source of those knowledge.
In Tsukuba University, some students work on satellite project called “Yui”, which has started from laboratory. They’ve developed 2 satellites, and the second one recorded the longest operation as an ISS emitting satellite.
WARPSPACE shall expand the Frontier the New Space Industry with all knowledge and technologies we have developed.
